Charles Graham has launched The Kung Fu Café!
This is the place to learn cooking and kung fu. On New Year’s day 2010, after deciding that too many martial artists take themselves way too seriously, Charles thought, “Why not show the world that kung fu is an enjoyable art form and not just some MMA brawl fest“?

Realizing that not only did he have martial arts to offer, but also being a master cook (cook, not chef), Charles could share this art form as well. And the Kung Fu Café was born.

Charles calls it “The Ass-Kicking Kitchen”, and his slogan “You MMA guys stay out of my kitchen, No Steroids here!” conveys his thoughts on purity of art in any medium.

In addition to cooking and kung fu, Charles is a professional writer, graphic designer and photographer. He’s teamed up with his student James McIntire (a professional musician and videographer) to form “Up Your Kilt Productions”

In mid 2010, The Kung Fu Café was the result. After several trial episodes, out-takes and a whole lot of ROTFLOLMAO, James and Charles finally produced the first episode: “KFC A Trip To New Mexico”. Filmed in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, NM with the help of a wonderful crew. (Original music by James McIntire and Sifu Dug Corpolongo’s executive production).

We are glad to bring you the current episode featuring “Green Chili Stew”, “Wu Bu Chuan (Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu), “Red Chili Posole,” “TaiJi Sword” and

a whole lot of fun!

DON’T TOUCH THAT DIAL!

Charles Graham found his love for cooking at an early age, learning to make traditional southern meals from his Mother, and soul food from his nanny, Andora. Charles began his martial arts training as a pre- adolesant in the style of Judo until later while in High School, a friend took him to see a demonstration given by Charle’s first teacher, Sifu Jeff Bolt. He describes it as “Seeing a man jumping around with a sword that appeared to be magic.”

It wasn’t long till Charles learned to jump around with a sword himself. Seriously though, Charles is one of the few martial Artists that can really use all of the weapons and form movements realistically. He really can fight with a sword.

When meeting him, he usually says, “Just call me Charles dudes I don’t take myself to seriously”. However, others have, and with that Charles has taught all over North America.

He feels that cooking is awesome and wants to share that as well. Charles is a senior student of the late Grandmaster, Madame Wang Jurong, and Sifu Jeff Bolt. He is the Kung Fu Grandson of, Dr. Yang Jwing Ming and has trained under renowned Chief Referee; and San Shou, Coach Laoshir; Shawn Liu Xiang (Master Deru). He was a Five Time National / International Gold Medalist until he retired from competitions in 1992 and began his coaching career. Charles’ title is “Sifu” (father teacher) and is called by his students,  “SiGung” (which means, “Grandmaster“). When asked he shrugs and says,  “yeah, right. Just call me Charles, okay?”

He is considered one of the leading Chinese Martial Art coaches in North America, and has trained several National and International Champions.

Sifu Graham has also served as the Chief Referee for “San Shou“, (Full Contact Chinese Kickboxing); at the “Taiji“-Legacy International Martial Arts Championships; the U.S. “Wushu” Union National Championships; AAU/Chinese Martial Arts National Championships; U.S. National Martial arts Tournament, and holds an International “San Shou” Referee Certification from The Peoples Republic of China. He is the former United States Chief Official/Referee, a leading Expert on Northern “Shaolin“, “Fukien” White Crane, Yang's “Taiji“, “San Shou“, Modern “Wushu“. Charles is associate director for Jade Tiger Kung Fu & Tai Chi, as well as Lotus Dragon Kung Fu and Tai Chi in New Mexico.

Charles currently Stars in the web series “The Kung Fu Café.” Charles lives in Houston, Tx.
